Licorice Allsorts

I must have been living under a rock because I didn't realise that Bloglovin is dead! I still get my daily emails updating me on new posts from blogs that I follow, but I didn't realise that everything is frozen in time and we can't select new blogs to follow.

Follow by email seems to have gone the same way.  So how do you keep up with blogs that you follow? Or do you just keep checking back until there's a new post to read?

Anyway, on a brighter note, I've finished another two blocks for my Licorice Allsorts quilt designed by Wendy Williams from Australia.

You can probably tell that I'm loving this! Hand stitching and bright colours - it's just my thing.  Here's the previous four months:

There's only three months of hand embroidery to complete and then I need to piece all the other blocks on the sewing machine.  I'm looking forward to that stage too because the blocks are quite different to any I've made before.

But first I need to get through my work conference in Christchurch today.  Once that's over I'll deserve a break and will be straight into my quilting again. I've missed it.

Now it's time for the Peacock Party.  What have you been up to this week? Feel free to link up a recent blog post below.

You are invited to the Inlinkz link party!

I use The Old Reader to track blogs I follow. It is free for up to 100 blogs and if you want more you can pay annually.
Love the look of the Licorice Allsorts quilt

I follow blogs by the blog list on my blog. They keep blogs I follow up to date. I've always liked licorice, your blocks are so beautiful! Enjoy your stitching when your conference is over!

Oh, I love that embroidery. A whole quilt of embroidered blocks like that alone would be wonderful.

Your stitchings are so pretty and colorful! I have added Feedly and am still getting used to it, don't like it as well as Bloglovin but I needed something!

I switched over to Feedly, and actually like it better.
Wow, your handwork is spectacular!

Hi Wendy, I now use Mailchimp. It's free if you don't post too often and your list of followers is not huge. You can transfer your old list from blogger. At least with a weekly linking party readers will tend to show up on that day.

Wendy, your embroidery is breathtaking! As for following blogs, I use an app called Inoreader that I like very much. I read blogs on my iPad, so I don’t know how that would translate to a desk top, if that’s what you use. But I found it by doing a search for blog readers. So I bet a search would give you options for your digital setup.

I love Feedly. Started with them way back when Google mothballed their reader.

Oh those embroideries are like on the Norwegian bunad or folk costume. Beautiful. Bloglovin' is down and up, and I try to follow the blogs I love when it's up.

Quilterblogs.com has pretty much everybody. You upload and it sends them put like once or twice a day. Anne Kirby

I was using bloglovin but as you say - it died. I am now using Feedly ap and so far I like it. It took awhile to figure out how to follow blogs but it is easy to use now and you can go to the websites for more info and commenting. Sorry for the late comment but I have been on holiday.
