NEW - New Zealand Quilt Shops

This is a list of New Zealand quilt shops and online quilting businesses by region.

I've noted where a business has a physical shop, but all of these businesses also offer online shopping.

I have NOT visited all of these shops personally, but in the interests of supporting local businesses,  I have provided links to them all here.

If you would like me to add your favourite shop to the list, please comment below or send me an email.

Could you please add Stitchin’ Stuff Te Awamutu. Lots of quilting fabrics, haberdashery (including SueSpargo threads) and quilting equipment, and a quilting service. The shop also has dress fabrics and patterns.

Hi Wendy!! Thanks for this terrific post! It’s something that I feel passionate about too. Can you please add Forget Me Knots, here in Christchurch? Lesley is at 450 Halswell Road, Halswell. She doesn’t have a website but is on Facebook. A small but perfectly formed shop with fabulous fabrics! Kirsty

I’ve just remembered a couple more. There is The eye of a needle in Taupo and Bernini Sewing Centre in Tauranga.

Ha ha! I mean the Bernina sewing centre. Annoying autocorrect.

Thanks Wendy for this!
Back in February I visited Sew Very Fabric (formerly June's Room) and Crafty or Wot in the Grape Escape Complex, 145 McShane Rd, Richmond, Tasman. Sew Very Fabric have lovely quilting supplies and wool and Crafty or Wot have Sashiko supplies along with other different crafts. Sew Very Fabric are on Facebook, and Crafty or Wot have a website.
