If it's your first time here, hi, I'm Wendy. I live in Wellington, New Zealand with my husband and two sons. I love to use bright colours in my quilting. Here's a few of the things I'm currently working on:

This is half of my la passacaglia quilt. It's all English Paper Pieced, so it's taken all year to get this far. I'm one of the administrators of the the Millefiori / la passacaglia facebook group. If you're thinking about making one of these quilts it's a great group to join for help and advice.

My favorite TV program has been Madame Secretary. I think it's well played and the plots are contemporary.
Thanks for the opportunity to win such pretty fabrics. I also like to use bright colors in my quilting. Now that I think about that, maybe the predominately dark fabrics I'm using in a denim & homespun rag quilt are what's bothering me with the project I'm making now!!!

I don't watch much TV but one series we have been enjoying lately is Curb Your Enthusiasm. It's hilarious! It's not a new series but we just started to watch it, it's really funny!!

I love everything you make and post on Instagram and I especially love that you sew things using the bright colors because I also sew primarily with bright saturated fabrics. My mom taught me to sew at 6 years old. She would let me pick out my own fabrics when I was about 12 years old and I would make my own clothes using really bright colors despite her not liking bright fabrics. I tend to like the British series (Downton, Call the Midwife, Vera, Doctor Who, Coronation Street, EastEnders). Gee, you would think I live in the UK wouldn't you.
These year was the Martian and Snoopy,Inside out ,Hotel Transylvania...as you see mostly cartoons but I do love to watch them and fortunate that I could enjoy them with my daughter.Amazing giveaway,thank you for the chance to win it.

We watch a lot of TV, but maybe that will change as I now have good lighting and a sewing room! Our most recent binge-watching was: Last Tango in Halifax and the Man on the High Castle. The first I thought was going to be a light hearted story. It still has some of that, but there is a lot of drama in it too now. The Man on the High Castle is a scary alternative university story. Done well though. Thanks for the chance to win these beautiful red and cream fabrics.
We got hooked on The Newsroom (watching through Amazon). And I'm working my way through The Good Wife.

I love Downton Abbey, but my very favorite series this year was Home Fires. I hope there will be a second season. I really enjoy PBS shows about England during WWII. I thought nothing could top Foyle's War, but I think Home Fires may have done it.
I recently discovered Jane the Virgin and I love it!
My favourite series is Ice Road Truckers.

Wow Wendy I thought the gingerbread was real. Great job. I am a cake decorator and enjoyed making gingerbread villages. I just love the fabric. It almost seems Scandinavian to me. Ah memories of my grandmother who was a tailor by trade. I wish I was old enough to learn from her. Let's see my favorite tv show would be the Big Bang Theory. I really don't watch much tv but I do love the old black and white movies. My fingers are crossed, I just love that fabric.

I am enjoying The Librarians which is quite quirky. I do enjoy many British series, but hubby not so much, so don't always watch them. I'd rather sew than watch TV!

My favorite TV series this year was Miss Fischer's Murder Mysteries. We watched all the seasons that were available on Netflixs and are eagerly waiting for the next season.

My confession is that I don't watch much outside of Daniel Tiger with my littlest. I'm looking forward to the new Star Wars Movie. I do like Call The Midwife.
I don't watch much tv movies or go to them anymore. FAR FAR to much violence and foul language and sex. I watch the cooking channel and of course my all time favorite tv series on DVD..I Love Lucy and the movie Long Long Trailer (with lucille ball and Desi).
