"Aotearoa" is the Maori word for New Zealand. It means land of the long white cloud.
Unfortunately I can't attribute the quilts to their makers, because there were no names provided. However, if you see yours here, then leave and message and I'll update this post. I could have studied these quilts for ages, but here are a few of my favourites.

I think my New Year's Resolution will be enter a quilt in the next Aotearoa Quilters colour challenge - regardless of what colour it is. (yes, even if it is brown, heaven forbid).
It was hard to get a photo of them all because everyone was up close studying them, but here's most of the quilts.
The winning quilt was the green gecko by Sonja Prchel, two down from the big yellow sign. You can see a better photo of it here.
