Glitter quilt

I made a bit of progress on my Glitter quilt in April.  This is a Jen Kingwell pattern, available in her book "Quilt Lovely" or as a leaflet from Amitie Textiles.

I'm using the acrylic templates made by Amitie, and hand piecing each block.  I draw pencil stitching lines on the back of each block by connecting the dots with a ruler, and then join the pieces with a running stitch.

It's a slow process, but I enjoy cutting the blocks during the day, and stitching a block each night.

I've currently got 55 blocks finished and I need 152.  That's not bad - I've made a third of the blocks.

I still have many more fabric combinations waiting to be used.  This quilt is for our bed. I chose to restrict the colour palette to green and grey because it will complement the gorgeous wallpaper we hung last year.

Love this quilt pattern and it looks beautiful in greens. I do have the book and actually started doing a bit last year but other stuff took over. I look forward to watching your progress I love it.

What a delightful assortment of fabrics. This will be a beautiful quilt. Will it be for spring/summer; winter; or all year long.

Oh Wendy, loving all things Gingerbread I had to go take a look at your gingerbread village pieces. My oh my, how beautiful! So I've copied the Victoria's Sampler web site into my 'Where Was I' document and will begin saving for the kits. I think I'll start with the tree as I have a small collection of wood and other material(s) Christmas trees and then move on to the church second and other buildings.
I'll have to drop some heavy hints to the family for gift suggestions too and I'm looking forward to the next few years of stitching.
Seasonal wishes year round :)

Lovely blocks and the quilt will go so nicely with that gorgeous wallpaper. I can't imagine ever hand piecing blocks myself, is your middle name Patience?

Looking really good Wendy. Just looking through my patterns to hand piece something while I'm away in Sydney. Might see you there. :-)
