I was excited when Sheila told me she was going to write a book. We share a love of Kaffe Fassett, Tula Pink, Anna Maria Horner and Alison Glass fabrics (all the bright ones) so I knew Sheila's book would be colourful.
Sheila asked me to test one of the patterns in her book, and in return she's printed my name in the acknowledgments! I can't picture myself writing a book, so this is as close as I'm going to get to being a published author. I'll take it.
Here's what I made. This is Mirror Mirror from Quilts with an Angle:
Isn't the pattern effective? And it was quick to make too because the pieces are much larger than I'm used to dealing with. The trick is all in the cutting, which is very well explained in the book.

The full title of Sheila's new book is:
Quilts with an Angle: New Foolproof Grid Method and Easy Strip Cutting; 15 Projects with Triangles, Hexagons, Diamonds and More (A Field Guide)
and it's published by C and T Publishing.
There are seven "lessons" in the book, but there are more than seven patterns because the blocks can be assembled in different ways. The quilt below uses the same blocks as I used in my quilt above.

Kaffe Fassett for me. I love your version of Sheila's Mirror Mirror quilt. The colours are stunning.
Same here--no favorite fabric designer. I love the old scraps and the new fabrics. The idea of angles in quilt blocks is intriguing.
I love all fabric the more the scrappier, but i do love the colour saturation of Alison Glass fabrics
I can't choose. I love color so any designer who loves color as much as I do.
I love so many designers but Tula Pink and Alison Glass are certainly up there in the top ten

It's hard to choose just one favorite designer, but I will say that I always like whatever fabrics Zen Chic offers. This looks like an interesting book and your quilt is fabulous!

It’s difficult to choose a fabric designer - Kaffe, Anna Maria Horner, Tula Pink are old favorites
but recently I got some fabric from Mr. Domestic that’s just spectacular!
I love Christmas fabric but especially Kate Spain's.
I don't really have a favorite fabric designer. If I have to pick one I guess I'd say Judie Rothermel. I love her reproduction fabrics.

Your quilt looks wonderful Wendy! Pink and green always look great together! There are so many fantastic fabric designers, its hard to pick one! I love the quirky nature of Heather Ross, Anna Maria Horner's for its vibrancy and spirit and Denyse Schmidt for her traditional fabrics in a modern colour palette!

I like Alison Glass fabrics most for bright colours: versatile enough to blend in with other fabric, but Brigitte Heitland (Zen Chic) is my absolute favourite. I like your version of the Mirror, Mirror Quilt but I had to laugh when I saw this post, just after posting to your 19 April Peacock party: same pattern designer, but what a difference in scale!
So many fabric designers...how could I possibly have a favorite?? I do like Angela Walters fabrics, but there are so many others as well!!

My favorite fabrics all seem to come from Island Batik. I think Kathy Engle designs most of their fabrics.
Choosing one fabric designer is tough!! I love the Charley Harper prints - not sure that counts, tho! Okay - Denyse Schmidt! love her stuff. Thx for the chance to win this great book!

It is difficult to pick a favorite designer, Riley Blake, Zen Chic, Robert Kaufman, I ohh and awe over so many delightful fabrics. Now this book would help me untangle the mystery’s of angles that I so want to make a quilt with.

Island Batik would be my pick, no matter what shade or design, I know there will always be one that will be a delight. I can see the pattern in blues and greens with a dash of purple already.
I have a thing for Heather Ross's prints-- her little animals especially!

Oh my, a favorite? It's always changing. If I were to judge by how much fabric I own of any one designer, then my favorite would have to be Kaffe Fassett. My taste is eclectic and there are many, many designers who I love. Thank you all and thanks for this wonderful giveaway opportunity!

I have never used my 60 degree ruler and finally will! Lately I have been using a lot of solids mostly Kona.
