Day 9 - A Treasured Time by Dimensions Gold Collection.
This scene is so different to Christmas in New Zealand. We go to the beach at Christmas and have our summer holidays, but I've always loved these snowy Christmas scenes so I decided to stitch one for myself.
I do love the idea of ice skating on a frozen pond with a muff to keep my hands warm. I have been ice skating, but I've never owned a muff.
Now it's time for the Peacock Party. Feel free to link up a recent blog post below.
The winter cross stitching is beautiful! It certainly is different than your Christmas weather. Happy stitching!
ReplyDeletethat is a very pretty needle point - I never have such a snowy Christmas as our snow tends to come a couple times in January to early March but it sure is pretty - I had Christmas with snow all the time when I was growing up in Wisconsin
ReplyDeleteYour needlework is absolutely amazing, Wendy!
ReplyDeleteWell, you just know that I love this. Quintessential winter scene, muffs and all! And a lot of outline stitching too that really makes the motifs pop. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSimply gorgeous needlework. I linked up my Countdown stitchery post.
ReplyDeleteHi Wendy, your stitched piece is gorgeous. It's getting harder to have those kinds of Christmases here in Canada when you live somewhat in the South. In Ottawa we love to skate on the canal but it's seldom open at Christmas, and no one owns a muff :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic job to stitch this. Lovely stitchery.
