It got me thinking about how much Kaffe I already have stashed at home. Maybe I need to dedicate next year to just sewing with Kaffe fabrics!
I've seen some beautiful quilts in the Kaffe Fassett Facebook group recently. Yesterday I saw one on Instagram by Jeanette Bruce @goneaussiequilting that almost glowed. I did a quick search for the Moss Garden pattern and found that it was a free pattern included in this grouping here on Quilt Inspiration blog:

Even though I've got about 10 Kaffe Fassett books on my shelf, I had a browse through the free patterns and found some that looked quite straight forward. I've downloaded six patterns and might just use one of them for my next Kaffe quilt.
After I've finished my Cartwheel quilt
and my Green Diamonds quilt.
I hope you find the link to the free patterns useful - especially if you're a Kaffe fan like me.
Check out http://exuberantcolor.blogspot.com/ she does a lot of high volume color quilts. I have followed her for years.
ReplyDeleteI always love your work and style! You are such an inspiration!
ReplyDeleteI already have the new range from the States. I cut out Moss Garden last week and like yourself I adore KF Collective fabrics. You've come up with a brilliant idea to make just Kaffe Fassett quilts next year!! I have enough to make quilts using his fabric for years to come. Love the Red Diamond on your design wall.
ReplyDeleteThank you for posting the free patterns! I had a few of them but this was the best list I've seen. I am a bit over the top with Kaffe fabric, too...making a trip around the world quilt right now. It's my third totally Kaffe fabric quilt. Love your blog and you are one talented lady!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful fabric. I would just pet it.
ReplyDeleteThe answer is no, you can’t have too many Kaffe Fassett fabrics! Love, love the Cartwheel quilt. It’s simply fabulous!
ReplyDeleteI have less of this beautiful fabric than you do, but I have the same problem: "What shall I make with it?" It has to be something special, and not mixed in with a load of "so so" fabrics! Thank you for the link to the truly inspiring site.
ReplyDeleteYour green diamonds quilt is really in the spirit of KF: daringly beautiful!
No. It's not possible to have too many. Especially as you actually use them so often. Thanks for the link!
ReplyDeleteThanks Wendy, your quilts are always so colourful... you've inspired me to use my Kaffe fat quarter bundle that I've been admiring for ages with one of the free downloads. So many to choose from...
ReplyDeletewow...sigh..all beautiful

ReplyDeleteI really like your Cartwheel quilt. I don't have any KF fabric - way out of my price range. It is beautiful.
