The weeks are flying by in this Bonnie Hunter mystery quilt. We've just had week 4 and I think we've used all the colours now.
I enjoyed using my orange and yellows this week. I decided to go very scrappy, and used up some of those fabrics that I never know how to classify. Are they orange? Do the other colours stand out too much? Never, mind, I threw them all into the mix this time.
My little collection of pieced blocks is looking good. I'm keen to find out how these pieces will all fit together eventually.
I'm linking up to Bonnie's Part 4 post here where you can see everyone else's progress too.
I love how happy all of your orange and yellow prints are! I like that you're mixing both colors together and it's going to look great in the quilt!
ReplyDeleteYou have some really wild fabrics in here and I love them! Mine are so boring. I can't wait to see this come together.
ReplyDeleteWonderful fabrics! We are all having so much fun!
ReplyDeleteWell! Do I love ❤️ your strips! Great colors! I can’t wait to see them in the quilt!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea to use them up--I ALWays have that problem deciding whether it's more one color than the other and so my yellow/orange stack grows and sits there mostly. Pretty strip blocks hugs, Julierose
ReplyDeleteLove your green pea fabric!
ReplyDeleteGreat way to epicycle the scraps! In the first picture, it looked like all kinds of colors. However, in the second picture, they definitely read as orange, so I think it will really work.
ReplyDeleteyour fabrics aare so fun:)
ReplyDeleteThat is looking fantastic - what great fabrics!
ReplyDeleteI also love your gingerbread village in your header. Beautiful!
I've seen several orange string sets this week but really like yours. Pushing the envelope makes them sing.
ReplyDeleteLove the great combination of patterns in the fabrics that are in this set of blocks. That will make for a more interesting quilt for sure.
