I'm loving the grey look of my quilt so far. Greys and low volumes against bright rainbow colours is my absolute fav combination. The rainbow fabric looks really fun! I so admire you for doing the Passacaglia quilt, it's my dream to do one, but my EPP skills need to improve first ... one day :)Serena @ Sewgivinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08118431690767288942noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6516557859503396142.post-5708690231475504642015-01-22T13:57:01.031+13:002015-01-22T13:57:01.031+13:00I agree with Yvonne that the darker fabric looks r...I agree with Yvonne that the darker fabric looks really dark against Seren'as quilt. Love the rainbow one though! Just looking at it, to me, it needs lightening up the only light (bright) spot seems to be the yellow which is only at the top of the quilt and the rest, especially the bottom, seems a little heavy with the dark colours there. That said, I'm glad i still have time to think about if before I work on it lol.

I love the look of the Passacaglia quilts but I just know I don't have the patience to sit there and plan it all and cut out all the pieces! I'll just have to admire them from afar!Joanna @ Riddle and {Whimsy}https://www.blogger.com/profile/07850057317926321586noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6516557859503396142.post-65601870520723744392015-01-22T13:56:14.672+13:002015-01-22T13:56:14.672+13:00Those sparkly threads are very 'Wendy'!

Can you use them just in small amounts to keep the colourful softness of the quilt?
I love the organisation!Granny Maud's Girlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14526026491886013457noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6516557859503396142.post-15866766352815204852015-01-22T10:17:00.015+13:002015-01-22T10:17:00.015+13:00Your EPP rosettes are looking lovely! I guess there does need to be some planning, maybe a few more tone-on-tone fabrics ( like that purple one in your pic) thrown in would help? wonder how others are going with it? I really like the rainbow dot fabric you auditioned next to Serena's quilt, but the dark fabric with it seems... really dark. But that's me! You have had a super productive break (lots of great work and photos here!).
